High Strength Alloys

As a high strength wire manufacturer, LEONI Temco can offer the following products:

• Cadmium Copper

Cadmium Copper is used primarily where higher strength and good flex life are required. This material is particularly suitable for the finer gauge cables where flexibility and strength are at a premium.

• LEONI Histral®

LEONI have developed a new high strength copper alloy, as a replacement for materials with toxic elements such as Cadmium Copper. LEONI Histral® has good corrosion resistance and is extremely suitable for all the applications associated with Cadmium Copper and other high strength alloys. The flexlife of LEONI Histral® products is tested according to ASTM B 470 and outperforms most of its competitors. LEONI Histral® is not just a Cadmium Copper replacement, its superior tensile strength and electrical conductivity have been developed specifically to meet the requirements of ASTM B624 and equivalent specifications.

• CI203

LEONI Temco have developed a new high strength copper alloy, as a replacement for materials with toxic elements such as Cadmium Copper. Conductivity is extremely good, with a high tensile and fatigue strength. CI203 has good resistance to hydrogen embrittlement and is extremely suitable for all the applications associated with Cadmium Copper and other high strength alloys. CI203 meets with arduous specifications including the stringent demands of Aerospace and Military cables and is available with Silver and Nickel plating.
