High Performance Strands

Recognising the need for more precisely controlled stranded wire within the cable industry and working closely with our cable customers, we have developed a range of stranded conductor wires in plated copper and high strength alloys, which possess the optimum properties for high performance at elevated temperatures and in other adverse conditions where conductor reliability is a paramount consideration.

Similarly, through understanding the nature of the thin wall insulation process with advanced materials (such as PTFE, FEP, TEZEL etc) and consequently through familiarity with our customers technical needs, we have produced a strand configuration in which each wire element is precisely located. This gives a smoothness of construction and a degree of flexibility made possible only by the use of state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and equipment. The effective operation of this equipment is further assured by thorough attention to quality detail, which is the unique preserve of a highly skilled work-force who possess many years experience in fine wire production.

LEONI Temco have developed, with the aid of a specially designed computer programme, smooth bunch configurations with tight lays, giving a perfect concentric formation. A wide range of configurations are available in Silver, Nickel and Tin Plated Copper, each providing formations as smooth as conventional unilay strands.
